hese Locuments will, I hope, give you tho information which you require as regards the terms of the Saheme.

I also enclose copies or the form of application and fora of agreement. e gather from the F.D.I. that forms of agreement from the first batch or graduates from Hong Kong cannot be treced and the form enclosed is the one which apprentices of Chinese nationality who came here in 1945 were required to sign. This was a purcly war-time

agreement and will not necessarily apply to the future. In any case clause 2 needs mendront. It will, however, no doubt serve your purpose.

In this connexion I have been asked to call your attention to the correspondence under Inland Revenue roference ko.7.2015/6/42 regarding the case of Mr.1.0.Dockhil from Trinidad which seems to be on all fours with the apprentices from Hong Kong and thus affords a precedent for éxempting the latter fro United kingdon Income Tax. We very much hope that it will be possible to treat the matter in this way.

Yours sincerely,

(G.Bryant).
